We just love a pub that has a quote that perfectly describes the ethos of Driving with Dogs: "Slow down and enjoy life, it's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why."  So of course we're going to suggest a stop here with the dog. Luckily there's a cracking good dog walk on the doorstep and they open up early for coffee and pastries. This is the closest to a modern coaching inn I think we've found, and hats off to the owners for a lot of hard work.
