A30 dog walk and a cafe near Bodmin, Cornwall
PremiumDescription
Enormous chunk of forest - with a really good cafe for that post-walk tea and cakes! This is well worth an explore, ideal for taking a break for dog walkies and a fix of sanity if you're boiling up on the A30 - and a great day out for the dog and kids anytime. The great thing about forests is that you don't notice the rain as much as you do on the beach.

It's OK but gets very busy with things like cycles
Not the easiest place to find it has a massive pay and display car park. It's also popular with families with pushchairs and cyclists as many of the paths are well made and fairly smooth. In my view it's popularity makes it less appealing as, unless your branch off the made paths it can be busy with wheeled objects so less chance for off lead runs.
Haven't tried the cafe. I confess if we're wlking near Bodmin our preference is for Respryn on the Lanhydrock estate as it's wheel free
