A30 Dartmoor dog-friendly inn with B&B and dog walk, Devon
PremiumDescription
Dog-friendly pub in the centre of a Dartmoor village, and with a good dog walk from the door. It seems incredible that this seemingly remote place is so close to the A30.

Great walk
A few minutes off the A30 with all of Dartmoor available - what's not to like?
We were there before the pub opened so parked closer to the walk - drive into the village and, as you pass the green with the pub on the left, drive straight ahead past the dead end sign - there is parking for maybe five or six cars up there right by the gate.
Through the gate and it's a fairly easy uphill stroll for as far as you want to go and it's all open country so there's a whole mass of paths to choose from ideal for a bit of ball throwing.
There's even a Bronze Age stone circle up there to aim for and the views are pretty spectacular.
Will certainly go again and maybe try to tie it in with a visit to the pub
