If you get the chance, this is one to check out. The pub has apparently got the title of 'unspoiled pub of the year', if you're raising an eyebrow at this we did too - but then came to see why it could just be true. There are two bars, and the public bar (spit and sawdust) dates from Tudor times while the posher bar is a Victorian extension. Dogs are allowed in both but children are banned.
