Perfect place for a peaceful woodland walk and interesting memorial to visit. Super convenient - only 10mins easy drive from motorway.

Brilliant off lead walking, very close to the motorway. We parked at the Canadian war memorial and took the left hand path past the resistance memorial and then on to the Canadian cemetery where we turned right and followed the path a little way before retracing our steps. We sat on the wall by the cemetery to eat our breakfast but there are also seats by the parking place at the Canadian memorial. Pertinent reminder of the losses that were suffered in WW2 and that sacrifices made by those that fought alongside us.

Green 60 PointsCalm, relaxed off lead walk just off A26
Fantastic walk for our two high energy pointers to run off steam after being cooped up in the car for hours after channel tunnel crossing. Peaceful, tranquil and cool walk through sun dappled woods and starting at the Canadian war Memorial it is a place to reflect on the 1914 war and also the Resistance losses as there is. Memorial Cross of Lorraine en route. The second cemetery on the left as you go along through the woods is so beautiful and immaculately maintained. We were walking in the Easter hokidays so met three other groups of local people walking with children and dogs. Very safe and easy walk and great to be able to run dogs off leads

Green 24 PointsExcellent walk very easily found from the motorway.
This can be turned into a circular walk by following the original directions, turning right into the clearing and then walking 150m up the hill and turning right on the first of two tracks that join the clearing here. This takes you through the woods and eventually joins a rutted wide track where if you turn right again it takes you back to the French Resistance memorial.
We also walked a little bit along the path to the left at the end of the original directions: it eventually opens out into a long quiet lane through fields that seems to go on for a long way - handy for tiring out high energy dogs.

Great relaxed stop off
Cool and quiet woodland walk- still muddy in July, but fab for cooling off a hot dog. We did a loop round which took 30 mins, clear tracks in most places.
