A26 exit 23 dog walk in Lusigny, France
PremiumDescription
What an amazing place this is! A series of enormous lakes devoted to leisure facilities of all kinds, not just water sports. The lakes are artificial, and the villages that border the water are really old - with timber framed houses and farmhouses in the centre of the villages.
You'd never guess, but the lakes are part of the River Seine flow management system, and in places you can see the 'river' apparently flowing in two completely different directions.
We headed for a beach, hoping to get Jem in for a swim. The beach was out of bounds for dogs (although a local lab was in the water), but instead we found a series of pathways set aside for dog-walkers, and then switched onto a forest walk that was marked from the car park.

Lovely area for walking
We had a really lovely walk here enjoying the scenery and, because it was during the week and early in the morning, had the place to ourselves. Once in Lusigny-sur-Barse keep driving past the canel stop with the arch towards Geraudot and you'll see a car park on the left.
