Walk
Turn left onto the Sutton Road and walk towards the church (about 2 minutes) and turn right to the side of Orchard Cottage, just before a nursery. There's a clear footpath sign, and you head straight on - not to the left towards the church. You now have a little under a mile of walking to reach a small lake. Turn around here and return the same way. On the day I was here there was a huge amount of construction noise from something going on nearby and the puppy was a bit spooked by the machine noises. But the path was easy to follow with no stiles or livestock, and it felt safe walking alone.
