Easily reached from Boulogne, the market town of Desvres is worth a visit before or after a dog walk in the forest. The town has been a centre for the design and production of ceramics for hundreds of years and there's a small ceramics museum (no dogs). The ceramics shop near the museum is a great place to find unusual and authentic souvenirs of your visit.
