We found this was a good combo of dog-friendly pub and short dog walk, with the site of the Battle of Naseby just a few miles away if you get inspired by the 'oldness' of everything around here.

Draughton Walk
Great additional walking along the disused railway line that crosses the track to Draughton.
There’s also a very handy little car park with picnic tables if you drive down past the church towards Draughton. We did this and then returned to the Stag for a well needed drink.
Great stop off the A14.
