By-passed by the A14 this dog-friendly pub is a bit of a forgotten coaching inn on the old road. Not a bad thing at all, or it would probably be a Premier Inn by now. Good to know about if you're on the A14 which in my mind is nearly as scary as the A1 so any excuse for a dog walk is always a good idea.
