A1 dog walk near Castle Bytham, Lincolnshire
Description
Dogs will adore this quiet woodland, and it's a great place for a healthy leg stretch for dogs and drivers very close to the A1. Apparently it used to be an ammunition store for the RAF in WW2 but now the wood is being allowed to regenerate and the oaks and ashes are getting well established.

Walk
There are hard surfaced paths - perfect for keeping your feet un-muddy. Look out for the monument to a horse apparently called 'Butcher'. It was almost submerged by bracken when we were there and seemed very odd. Extra Treat points for anyone able to fill in the story here!
