Walk

For a short doggie comfort break it's perfect that a public footpath goes through the pub car park and out onto fields behind. This path does feed into a network of short paths around the village, although the probability of livestock is quite high in summer. But when it's raining, or if your dog doesn't need a full-on romp this path is very handy.  For a longer walk, and best when you have time on your hands, then turn right from the Cross Keys and walk down the High Street and cross over onto Church Lane. Pass the church and then turn left onto Blackhill Lane by the water tower. Pass a few houses and the lane becomes a track, and this is the John Bunyan Way. It's ideal for dogs, with no stiles or livestock to walk through. After 1.25 miles on the track, turn left at a path crossroads. This path takes you straight across a field, aiming at the church in Pulloxhill.
