Generous stately grounds where dogs are welcome and it's usually fairly quiet once you're away from the main car park and facilities. Watch out for some evil speed humps on the way in, even at 5mph.

Dog-friendly inn with rooms, a dog-friendly bar and great walks nearby.

Functional dog walking spot with free parking and access, with big views over part of Windermere. This is a working forest so don't be surprised by gaps in the treeline after felling.

An easy to follow dog walk and a dog-friendly country pub nearby. It's not hugely exciting but will delight the dog.
