Such a pleasure to come here with the dog. If the tide is in you can enjoy a woodland walk around the bay, or play on the sandy beach when the tide permits.
Even in mid-summer this dog walk route will take you and the pooch away from the crowds and into the refreshing calm of the banks of the River Eamont.
Another dog-friendly inn with walks close to our favourite Cumbrian river, the Eden. We've shared both of our local dog walks, one is 2.5 miles and the other just a bit longer.
Less than a mile from the A1 and you can enjoy a cooling riverside walk, check out a once important Roman town, or grab something to eat in nearby Boroughbridge.
This is an enormous country park and hugely popular with local dog owners. There are a multitude of small paths and fields as well as the formal grounds and lake.
A former clay pit that has been transformed into a fine country park. It's an excellent place for walking, particularly around the lake, and is very popular with local dog walkers.
