M6 Junction 17 Brereton Heath, Cheshire
Perfect stop - everything you need
Stopped on a journey from Snowdonia to Nottingham.
Sat Nav post code a little short of the entrance but easy to find. Parking only 80p with contactless payment. Toilets right next to the car park entrance.
There are plenty of options to suit all dogs and humans: a flat lakeside path, a woodland walk and an area of heathland.
I don’t use it but there was a handy cafe over the road.
A35 woodland dog walk and literary trail, Dorset

A29 forest dog walk and cafe near Arundel, West Sussex
June 2022 -
Very easy to find and great off lead dog walk straight from the car park.
Parking 70p for 1hour pay via the Just Park App
Handy cafe for hot coffee and snacks sadly the WCs were out of action due to refurbishment
M40 Junction Cherwell Valley Services dog walk, Oxfordshire
Perfect in every way
Fabulous stop everything you need. Plenty of space and parking by the Travelodge away from the busy areas. Followed the path between the Travelodge and the services and found the area easily. We took a picnic and completed the circular walk which was a perfect break for 2 spaniels and their humans traveling home from the Lake District to East Sussex. Now home and resting
M6 Junction 28 or 29 Cuerden Valley Park, Lancashire
Great place for a stop off
We travelled from East Sussex to the Lake District and stopped here both ways. Very quick and easy to get to from the motorway parking is payable by contactless payment or the Ringo App which we found was very common in the Lakes.
Lovely park safe for off lead walking. The only disappointment for us was unfortunately the cafe had suffered a fire so the all important WCs weren’t open - check before you travel if open. Otherwise a stop thanks for the recommendation
Dog walk near Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire
Couldn’t find this walk
Somehow got lost and ended up in the nearby Forestry England Car Park. There was a lovely walk around the lake, a cafe, toilet facilities and GoApe.
DwD - sorry you got lost, we'll add the GPS co-ords so others don't suffer the same frustration!

This stop worked out perfectly- I checked with the Sun Inn in advance and they serve breakfast from 7-11. I arrived at 9:30 half way to my destination In Pembrokeshire. The staff were amazing, very helpful & definitely dog friendly. The pub has lots of areas & space in the car park, indoors & outdoors. The car park leads directly onto the county park. I did a brisk lap of the water which took 40mins. If you don’t want to visit the pub the country park does have car parks & toilets
