About davab2
We have always had rescue dogs, 9 over the last 30yrs, 3 at a time, getting a younger one as we 'lose' one. We lost our last rescue, Jess, 3 yrs ago and then having moved from Manchester to Shrewsbury so my wife could help our Daughter & partner with childcare, we had a 2yr gap due to the girls ages.
April '22 we then bought our first dog, Finn, who appears in the pics. Although it goes against the grain buying a dog when there are so many needy rescues, we made the decision due to our granddaughters ages, and the sometimes unpredictable nature of resumes due to their previous lives π

Wonderful Walk - Watch The Swans!!
Used to use this walk all the time when we lived in Manchester. Well maintained paths all the way around the water park, plenty of easy entry points for swimming, and the cafe is great for a hot drink or breakfast especially in Winter
Beware of the numerous swans dotted around, they are used to dogs and will fly at them if too close, especially when cygnets in tow

Wonderful Place
Description is certainly accurate, this area is huge! A mixture of beach and wetlands just north of Mablethorpe. Quite a few horses being exercised in the surf and a few more dog walkers, but the area is so vast that even with a dog with no recall (like our Finn) there is always an area where no one is visible.
The area is still a βliveβ army firing range, and there is a partially submerged tank on the beach from the 1950βs, and the area is also an RSPB reserve.
Access from the car park is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users. Although only 10 mins walk from the car park the last 50 yards is through deep sand. Also recommend wellies or boots as the foreshore and wetlands donβt seem to get the sea often and in places there is oil close to the surface.
All that being said, Finn had a great 2 hrs run off the lead and was one tired doggie when we got back to our caravan ππ
