Within seconds of Jem leaping out for a sniff at the sea and a bounce on the beach, the rain deluged. The beach is all shingle and we couldn't really see anything of the coast path!

National Trust owned beach with no restrictions on dogs all year round. The beach car park is on the coast road between Abbotsbury and Burton Bradstock (the B3157).
Easy to reach from either Junction 18 or 19 of the M5, this is a piece of canine heaven, through Forestry Commission woods with clear paths and easy to follow signed routes.
