Welwyn dog-friendly pub and dog walk, Hertfordshire
Enjoyable.
Enjoyed our peaceful walk across fields and into the woods. Returned to our car which we had left in the pub car park. (I checked with landlord out of courtesy) had a dessert and cups of tea in the large garden on a sunny Bank Holiday afternoon. Very busy but pleasant staff, but will book a table if you want to have a main meal.
A10 dog walk and dog-friendly pub near Ware, Hertfordshire
Enjoyable
Really enjoyed our walk. Easy parking at The Feathers pub. (I checked with staff) lots of open space for our dog to enjoy on a long lead. Once past the farm open countryside. Would be lovely to have a few benches to sit on along this route as can be tiring on a warm day. ( reason for 4 stars) Dogs can paddle in the crossing at the river Rib bridge. We returned to the Feathers pub and enjoyed a cool drink and pub lunch which is dog friendly in the bar.
M25 Junction 29 country park dog walk, Essex
Confusing walk signposting
Easy to find, and easy pay and display parking. We went on a Thurs, not in school holidays. Followed the yellow trail and took a picnic. Lovely and cool under the trees. The only problem was the yellow walk arrows stopped whilst on our walk and we ended up lost and on the A128. We think 1mile out of our way. Managed to find our way back, after asking locals, but on a busy, no pavement road with an exhausted dog. Signs in park need to be alot clearer and distance of each walk on information boards would be helpful. We would return but stay insight of the visitor centre.
M25 Jct 26 Boudicca's last stand, Essex
Very dog friendly
Enjoyed this walk, but could be a little challenging due to steep up and down slopes in places for less mobile. Great walk and plenty of space for our dog Barney to explore. Reached area where its said Boudicca's last stand had taken place ( written information on board) was about 1mile into walk. Was interesting knowing we were actually walking over the M25 at beginning of walk. Finished after 3miles(there and back) in The dog friendly Forest Gate pub where we were allowed to leave our car. (I checked with owners before setting off) Enjoyed a lovely lunch and was quite busy for a Thursday. We will be back.

Pretty village and pub ( unfortunately it was closed)
We travelled here on a Bank Holiday with glorious weather. Arriving at this pretty village we found the pub, but unfortunately was not open!! We did the suggested walk which was lovely but think where the directions say on the walk you will shortly see a farmhouse and a white bungalow. The directions are correct but it would be helpful to say that the farmhouse is quite a walk from the start!! We thought we had gone wrong, but keep walking across a large field and under a pylon which takes you down across to the small stile/ river. Will try the pub next visit. But very pretty.
