A85 dog walk near Dalmally, Scotland
Beautiful oak woodland, good gravel paths
A great place to stop en route to or from Oban. The whole thing takes about 1 hour, and can be done even if it is raining!
Glen Nant dog walk, Scotland
Strenuous circular walk, but pretty woodland area
We were unable to complete the Ant trail (it was also raining), so had to retrace our steps. The short nature trail is delightful along the river.
M8 junction 24 dog walk in a Glasgow park, Scotland
Great tea shop as well
This recommendation saved us from a whining dog in the car, the walks are plenty and there are toilets and a tea shop at the House for Art Lovers
M74 Junction 19 woodland dog walk near Ecclefechan, Scotland
Great stop from the motorway
We would not have found this without you. Very dog friendly walk up a gradual slope to a fantastic view, you can walk back down the same way if you are short of time. We let our dog off for a little while, which he just loves to do, but only when he is in a safe environment.
Balloch Park dog walk, Scotland
Good stop on the way back to Glasgow from Oban
The castle is closed but the toilets are open! great for a picnic and short walk with the dog. Some dogs were off the lead. Quite busy, but paved paths and plenty of seating.
Dog walk in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, Scotland
Great walking near city centre
We walked from Holyrood palace to the pub, the Sheep Heid in Duddingston. Had a great lunch in the courtyard area and walked back via the park, perfect!
Clumber Park dog walk and cafe, Nottinghamshire
Good stop near A1
On the way to Scotland, this was about half way. The overflow car park is dog friendly and they also let dogs into the walled garden, which is unusual. The Dogg friendly cafe had a limited range of food, compared with the main cafe, which was rather a shame, but otherwise a great stop!
Musselburgh dog-friendly beach, Scotland
Beach walk near Edinburgh
We found an electric car charger at Musselburgh harbour and there was a small beach where our puppy could let off steam before the final drive into the city - thank you
Great walk around the gardens and good coffee
We enjoyed the pinetum and the maze, had an outdoor coffee and spent a couple of hours here between Edinburgh and Bamff Ecotourism.
