Lovely country park with facilities

Lovely country park with various lengths of well marked walking trails and human facilities (loos & cafes - dog-friendly). Fee for parking but only a couple of pounds (from memory).

Very handy from A1 J46 southbound (J45 northbound)

We walked downriver from car park - took us under A1, then to walk along a path between the river and a meadow. Only met one other couple walking this way. Hadn't read the instructions properly (as found it quickly on my phone in car) and did it as a linear walk - good to read now that could do it as a circuit in future. Picnic tables and bins near car park. Two minute well-signed walk from car park gets you into town centre for loos/coffee etc. If walk upriver (bandstand direction) it is busier - you quickly come to a beach area before a wier - lots of kids and dogs playing in the water (& and ice cream van when we were there - August). Would re-use this dog-friendly stop,
