Lovely place to stop, nice walk, also a piece of clear ground to play with the frisbee . Picnic area was a plus, when you have packed food and drink for the journey.
A420 Woodland walk and dog-friendly pub near Swindon, Wiltshire
We followed sat nav which took us to walk via Roves Farm visitors centre. Drove to end of car park and found an entrance which is on the other side of the woodland mentioned in detail. Nice circular walk and came across picnic area. Roves farm has activity play area for children so if they need a break as well it’s a good stop off point.
Quiet and tranquil woodland dog walk, Shropshire
As mentioned in description very hilly and we went after heavy rain so very boggy in places, also there are some shear drops. Lovely views just from the car park behind walk map. We’d finally decided just to walk along the bridle way at the entrance.
Dog-friendly castle ruins in rural Shropshire, Shropshire
Finally found it as satnav took us to the college entrance on the other side. But we could see castle so drove on a bit further. Nice quiet area to stretch legs and take in the historic ruins.

Good stop to let the dog & us stretch our legs. Lots of space to explore, and the common to let dogs run around.
A25 Dog walk on the Downs near Guildford, Surrey
Walk & comfort break
Lovely place to stop, still very busy as it was a week day we stopped. Lots of places to walk but very busy with other dog walkers. But we managed to get a quiet walk through the woods.
Stour Valley Way dog walk and pub, Dorset
Lunch break
Just a short drive after walking some of the Badbury Rings. Small quiet village. Very good food and very welcoming staff.
A350 Big dog walk in prehistory, Dorset
Walk
Very good open space walk, and lovely views. A bit confusing on the entrance as it’s narrow, and not really signed posted. We parked at entrance only to find we could have driven up. Well worth the walk up the road though.
(DwD team - we did that too!)
We stayed in Martin and is was lovely to walk up Sillens Lane and then walk across Martin Down. The view and peacefulness was lovely.
