Seconds away from the Devon Expressway you won't lose journey time by taking a dog walk break here. The inn is about 200 years old, with open fires, oak beams and a relaxing atmosphere.
The riverside path here is some 2.5m wide with plenty of dog romping space and an abundance of wildlife. This is probably as close as it gets to Wind in the Willows land, a magical walk.
The paths here meander through a fine mix of woodland, meadow and waterside. The area is evidently a popular spot for local dog walkers, and we didn't see anyone without a dog!
We were here on quite a stormy day and the dog-friendly hotel was a welcome refuge! Dogs are welcome to stay in the hotel too. The beach is dog-friendly and ideal for a quick walk.
This is a 50-60 minute circular walk that's ideal for blowing away the city cobwebs.
