About Linnypinny
Jensen is a labrador cross weimeraner. He is handsome and very athletic! He can chase a ball for hours on end and loves to swim to cool down. We have family around the country so travel lots of motorways. We love this website, it helps us enjoy our journeys rather than dreading the meagre dog friendly places in service stations.

Lovely dog walk with trees, a river and 2 lakes, Hertfordshire
Sadly no access to the river
The river walk is now gated off. I have no idea why! Still a lovely lake but it’s a much shorter walk.

An enormous park with lots to do
Lots of interesting walks and dog friendly so long as they are on a lead. Outside eating area at the main eating place. Fab play area for children and an agility run for dogs, set up for the summer holidays.

Lovely park
A large flat park with a small car park inside but a larger one next to it. Large areas of grass for ball games as well as a footpath.
Across the road is a small wood and meadows.

35 min walk round a lake
Ideal length for a circular walk to break the journey. Lovely spot with a hard path, trees and grassy areas. Postcode takes you to the car park.

Tricky to find the way in
My satnav didn’t get me to the way in. I saw the way out on Brownsover Rd. Went back to follow digs to Brownsover Hotel, then kept driving past it to the way in. Well worth the effort. Will be back!

A great place to walk
We had a family get together here with kids and dogs. We had a great time in the woods, then walked along the lake. Lots of other families and dogs there.

Very friendly at The Crown pub
Lots of different little walks in this area just over the bridge from the village green and the Barnes Wallis memorial. We spent over an hour throwing a ball and exploring! Then we went into The Crown for lunch with the dog. We received a very warm welcome and he was given a lovely bowl of fresh water as soon as we arrived. I asked for a sausage or bacon rasher for him for lunch and that was no problem at all. Our lunch, for two vegetarians, was lovely too.

Everything dogs enjoy!
It costs £3 to park for the day. My walk round to the dog’s beach and back again, throwing a ball on fields and in woods, took about 1.5 hours, There is a lovely snack bar but sadly dogs aren’t allowed inside and it was raining so I didn’t stay to eat outside. It’s by a children’s beach with lots of fun things to climb on. Dogs have to be on the lead for the second half of the walk round the lake so we turned round and walked back the way we came along a hard path. It was well worth £3!

Not easy to find!
This postcode took me to a row of shops and then abandoned me! With help from the Langold Park website I found that it is at the end of Church Street. Si I drove just past the end of the shops and turned right then first left into Church Street, Langold. Still not convinced I went to the end and round a sharp left turn and there it was!! Well worth the effort. I could park on the approach road. Lots of parking spaces for blue badge holders in the car park. There were 2 fields to throw a ball, a lake walk and children’s playground but we chose a woodland path on the left that eventually opened out into a huge playing field. I will go back to explore further another time.

Different postcode
dN6 7FF. Is another postcode for this site. May be better? Sorry still no toilets according to their website
This alternative postcode DN6 7FF is correct. It takes you down Longlands Lane. The entrance to the woodlands is behind a new group of houses still being built on the right. There are no facilities. Free parking.
UPDATE TO THS REVIEW, ALSO BY LINNYPINNY
The existing postcode takes you half way along a lane. Continue to the end and turn left. The car park is just on the left. No facilities and a more hilly walk. Less muddy just now!
Tatton Park dog walk near Knutsford, Cheshire
£7 car park charge
I was disappointed to arrive at Tatton Park for a quick walk as I travelled along the M6. The car park fee was £7 and there was no option to pay for just an hour. I looked for National Trust signs but there weren’t any so I assumed that my NT membership wouldn’t help. My mistake! Your website says it is a NT property - I should have asked.
DWD Team: So sorry about the mixup here. You're right, there is now a £7 parking charge for ALL visitors, even though it is a National Trust property. We missed the change in parking charges and have now amended this, and will make it clear to members that this is not a good place to stop for a doggiestop any more. Full details here https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/tatton-park
Lovely park
Very easy to find off the A1. Large free car park. Green grass to throw a ball and a nice path to walk on and avoid getting muddy.
