Family ties with this village & church. An easy local park which has so many walks to enjoy with dogs. Refreshments at the village shop which is dog friendly & also, Stanmer House http://www.stanmerhouse.co.uk/ where dogs are welcomed & offered water etc ~ curl up with the pup on a leather sofa in front of a roaring fire in winter! Licenced & fab food too!

A lovely forest walk! Pay & display car park & toilets! My Bassets loved it....but then they were in the company of 30 others!

This is one of our favourite walks! Flat & gentle ~ you can go as far as you like. Beach is pebble with quite a steep bank. Parking is Forestry Commision & 2012 is £3:50 for >2hrs. Seems very popular with foreign students & groups, and can get very busy during school holidays. We love the meandering river bank & plenty of Marsh Samphire to pick!

We love this beach! Yes, parking IS expensive, but well worth it imho! Haven't visited this year due to weather & only had our dogs since January/June, but awaiting an Indian summer day!
