An excellent farm shop, cafe and children's play area next to the big, flat, open space where Henry IV (England) beat Henry 'Hotspur' Percy (Northumberland Rebels) away at Shrewsbury.
A country park with some really well thought out trails, including a very fun Gruffalo Trail for kids. Well equipped for parking, facilities and snacks. Every dogs' delight for walkies.
The woodland here is a haven for butterflies and moths - not that dogs will appreciate that - but it's well worth sitting quietly for a bit in summer and seeing how many different ones you can spot.
