Dog walk near Mold, Wales
Beautiful!
Had lunch in Honey's cafe (dog friendly) in Caegerle village at the bottom, then drove up a narrow winding road to the park at the top of Hope Mountain. Only one other car in the car park.
Beautiful views all around.
It's still Winter so a little muddy in places but you can skirt around those patches. Marked paths but also trails in other directions. Some cattle in one of the fields but they were easily avoided.
We spent about an hour walking around up there. Gorgeous place@
Storthes Hall dog walk near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Lovely woodland slope
We were complete strangers to the area, so found the directions a bit vague.
Yes there is plainly redevelopment going on currently of the old hospital site and metal fencing with "Private Land" signs up. We did see a fingerpost sign on the opposite side of the road just immediately before some houses, so we took that path.
It led down a sloped woodland path and across an open bit into more woodland paths.
It did get a bit muddy looking there so we turned back!
Once back in the car we could see where we should have stopped.
If you continue past the hospital site the fencing comes to an end and there were a couple of cars pulled in by a gap in the wall, another public footpath sign!

Lovely Riverside walk, but expensive parking for campervans!
Stopped here for the picturesque walk beside the River Wye with seats and picnic tables. The main street is a 2 minute walk from the car park. The toilets were spotless with hot water too.
Unfortunately we were in a campervan and just wanted a quick stop to walk the dog and eat a sandwich. We had to pay £5 for the minimum 2 hours which we didn't need. Hence the 4 star rating.

Lovely flat riverside walk and dog friendly pub with welcoming fire
The instructions were spot on for parking and finding the access to the river.
It's Winter, and wellies are a very good idea for this area)! A few large patches of mud are to be expected beside a river.
Aldford is a quiet and beautifully kept village owned by the Duke of Westminster.
We turned right at the river, and walked to the bridge, which we crossed and then continued on the other side towards Eccleston. You could walk right into Chester if you so wished, but that's a long way! So we just retraced our steps to cross the bridge, part way along the tree lined road and then found the public right of way sign directing us to turn right across the field towards the church and back into the village.
See the screenshot of where to turn right to head back to the village. Don't be tempted to continue to the end of that tree lined avenue as that's the Duke's private land with locked gates!
Once back in the village the Grosvenor Arms offers a warm welcome to dogs and humans with great food,
