Cafe, farm shop and a battlefield walk, Shropshire
An excellent farm shop, cafe and children's play area next to the big, flat, open space where Henry IV (England) beat Henry 'Hotspur' Percy (Northumberland Rebels) away at Shrewsbury.

A country park with some really well thought out trails, including a very fun Gruffalo Trail for kids. Well equipped for parking, facilities and snacks. Every dogs' delight for walkies.
A great off lead walk for the dogs. Very quiet and loads of places to explore. Not too strenuous, plenty of pathways to follow. One very happy dog.
Forestry Commission hill and woodland with several marked trails and easy walking for families. Popular with local dog walkers and there's a woodland cafe for snacks.
Dog walk delight in this woodland, which was once part of an ancient hunting forest. Now it's run by the Forestry Commission and there are quite a few marked trails to follow.
Dogs are made very welcome at this 13th century castle that feels more like a film set than actual history. The gardens are pretty and aromatic and the castle itself is tiny inside.
A dog-friendly country pub (with ghost) with great food and a happy, busy atmosphere and a dog walk to Caer Caradog which starts just a short drive away.
This is just one of the car parks and walks in this enormous forest. I like this walk because the path is less popular than the walks from the other car parks, and the view is spectacular.
Tucked away in a quiet part of Shropshire is the graceful red sandstone ruined castle, and dogs are welcome to visit with you.
Situated near Bunbury in Cheshire this very dog friendly pub is well worth a visit with its excellent menu and selection of beers.
Attractive 16th century black and white dog-friendly pub that's easy to find, and an uncomplicated dog walk too.
A courtyard setting for a number of country businesses, and easy to spot from the A49. On a dry day when you can sit outside this is a good stop for drivers, dogs and family.
