A traditional village inn that's dog-friendly and really well placed for walks in Thetford Forest.
A very quiet satellite of the larger (& more mountain bike full) Thetford Forest nearby.
A charming slice of Suffolk history here, with fine buildings built on the profits of the wool trade. If you visit the National Trust house then dogs have to be on leads because of the sheep.
This is an extraordinary garden to visit. From a boggy field a farmer dug and dug and planted to create the unique gardens we see today.
An enormous Forestry Commission run forest park, with plenty for dogs, kids and walkers to enjoy.
Small country pub, friendly, basic menu but well cooked fantastic value, quirky and welcoming. Gets great reviews for dog-friendliness.
This is a small but beautiful riverside park and has the remains of a Norman motte and bailey castle, although there's not much left to see. Plenty of dog walks here and it's an ideal place to relax.
A gentle walk with the dog in the forest, and then refreshments in a genuinely friendly and attentive community pub gives perhaps more of a taste of Norfolk than the busier (and more expensive)...
Fairly close to the A134 and yet in deepest countryside. Very relaxing and with a holiday feel.

An historic hamlet dominated by a 15th century hall and a rather gracious dog-friendly country inn with good food.
