You really wouldn't guess from the outside what an absolute treat lies within. Dogs get a rousing welcome and a doggie pack for overnight canines. The interior of the building is quietly stunning.
Welcoming family and dog-friendly pub just outside Kendal and a short distance from the Kendal/Windermere road. Good food, and better value than more obviously touristy places.

Pub with an astonishingly long history of looking after visitors - since 1295? If that's true it's really amazing! Dogs welcome in the bar, and there's good walking in the area.
