Riverside pub overlooking the River Avon.
Relaxed and friendly dog-friendly pub in a lovely 16th century building. On a cold day there's a massive woodburner for dogs to curl up in front of, and a garden for hot sunny days.
There are no stiles or road walking on this dog walk, although there may be some sheep on the hills. It's a fantastic space for walks and loads of fresh air.
Small rural dog-friendly pub, with flagged floors and beams. Gets busy in summer and warm weekends.
Loosely attached to the small town of Neufchâtel-Hardelot this seaside resort has something of an English feel to it. You'll notice this in the distinctly un-Gallic one-way system to reach the beach.
A beach where nature is flourishing, and the rock pools are teeming with life. No dog restrictions. Not easy underfoot but the wildflowers and natural world down on the beach are fabulous.
Warm and comfortable old-fashioned hospitality and Norfolk charm here. A great weekend get-away, and definitely worth investigating if you're staying nearby.
A chance for your dog to frolic in the estate where Shakespeare may have (and probably didn't) poached a deer or two. Dogs on leads everywhere here, so not a happy walk for bouncy dogs.
Large open spaces for dogs to romp in the shadow of an abbey ruin. Make sure you have your English Heritage card with you.
A family-run traditional inn with a dog walk pretty much straight from the car park. And roaring fires in cold weather.
The leafy glades of the Forest of Tournehem give welcome shade to walkers in summer and form a very effective natural umbrella on wet days.
