A massive sandy beach with a number of large rockpools to entertain kids of all ages at low tide. Dogs have literally miles of running space and it is never crowded here.
Said to be the biggest sand dune system in Europe, and part of the national park, this is completely extraordinary. Too huge by far to be able to photograph, it's a 'must see' of the natural world.

When the tide is out the beach here is an enormous doggie playground with views across to the hills surrounding the South Lakes.
