Enormous chunk of forest - with a really good cafe for that post-walk tea and cakes! This is well worth an explore, ideal for taking a break for dog walkies and a fix of sanity if you're boiling up on...
The dog walk here is a very pleasant stroll along a canal towpath.
Lovely village to take a driving break, with a choice of dog-friendly refreshments from either a quirky cafe or the village pub. And a farm shop too.
We love stopping at this dog-friendly pub near Colsterworth as a respite from the A1. The farm shop is great for stocking up on self-catering essentials too.
Take a trip back in time to a traditional village green with a dog walk on a footpath through the grounds of the manor house, and then to the village pub.
Is this the most perfect dog-walk off the M25? A vast expanse of common land for dog walking, together with a superb pub with an excellent local reputation for its food.
A dog walk over fields on a public footpath.
An easy and relaxing dog walk through fields alongside the River Cam. I read somewhere that war poet Rupert Brooke and Virginia Woolf used to skinny dip in the river by moonlight.
Very easy to get to from the M42, and a nice dog-friendly pub - but the walk is almost non-existent. On the other hand, if you've been stuck in traffic this could well be a useful doggiestop.
A really good family and dogstop less than 2 miles from the M40. Jem got a lovely welcome here, and we all enjoyed the walk.
