Pettycur Beach, Scotland
Lovely walk along the sand bank to the black rocks - takes 60 to 90 minutes. But check the tide times.

Brilliant beach for dog walking. Lots of surfers, kites and watch out for Blokarts! Great place to enjoy the Atlantic coast
Popular beach for surfers, and for the site of Dobby's grave (no longer there), and it's dog-friendly. Gets very crowded at weekends and Bank Holidays, and whenever the surf is up.
Massive sandy beach at low tide, and no dog restrictions! The beach is also popular with sand buggies and horse riders. And there are plenty of local shops, cafes and a hotel behind the beach.
Dogs are welcome here all year round. It's a narrow bay forming a natural harbour and with access to the coast path.
Flat, clean and sandy. My Labradors love swimming here.
Massive sandy beach populated by sculptor Antony Gormley's 'Another Place' figures. Some dogs are very wary of the men staring out to sea, others treat them as convenient trees.
Well-behaved dogs welcome. Beach very popular in summer.
Gansey is a sandy and dog-friendly beach to the east of Port-St-Mary.
Beautiful long sandy dog-friendly beach. Regularly lots of surfers and kites but generally only in the first couple of hundred metres. Keep walking out to Ther Rock and enjoy the amazing scenery.
A large beach with a children's play park in the area behind the dunes. Signs warn of the soft sand.
Dog-friendly and sandy beach on the small 'island' of Inchydoney, close to Clonakilty. You can drive there, it's not a proper island.
