Parc Maupassant de Bois Savary dog-friendly, France
Completely stunning formal gardens, created in 2003. If you're a keen gardener this is well worth a look. Particularly for the rose collection.

This is a small but beautiful riverside park and has the remains of a Norman motte and bailey castle, although there's not much left to see. Plenty of dog walks here and it's an ideal place to relax.
Friendly pub with good food - dogs are welcome in the Bar with a very friendly landlady who often has treats for good dogs!
Flat, clean and sandy. My Labradors love swimming here.
A former linen manufacturing centre, now a country park. It was also the first site for Ulster's hydro-electric power.
A short but satisfying woodland walk in a fantastic landscape to the site of a hill fort. Don't expect castle ruins, it's an earthworks from an early tribe.
Lots of different paths to choose the perfect dog walk here. There's even a 'Wildwood' trail made by kids for kids.
A circular walk into the woods and up to the top of Borlum Rock.
Situated near Bunbury in Cheshire this very dog friendly pub is well worth a visit with its excellent menu and selection of beers.
This 'aire de repose' on the westbound side of the A31 is one of the best rest-stops for dogs and people, on a section of motorway that is otherwise pretty unenticing.
The Eagle's a traditional Norfolk local, where dogs, walkers and families are welcome.
Massive sandy beach populated by sculptor Antony Gormley's 'Another Place' figures. Some dogs are very wary of the men staring out to sea, others treat them as convenient trees.
