Forest dog walk and cafe, Cheshire
Massive forest and it's just ideal for a dog walk. If you're making a doggiestop on your journey, head for the visitor centre for the cafe and facilities plus dog walk.

Gorgeous walking in the woodland grounds of Aros House. The house is no longer, but the grounds are looked after by Forest Enterprises and paths and facilities are well tended.
Once part of a much larger Estate, there's now 73 acres of prime dog walking with woodland, a lake and big open spaces.
Tarbert is likely to be your first stop on the Kintyre Peninsula if you cross by ferry, and a walk to the castle brooding over the harbour is an obvious and lovely way to get a feel for the place.
A waymarked route through parts of the historic Malone House estate in the Lagan Valley Regional Park, through meadows and woodland on surfaced and unsurfaced paths with some steep hills.
Doggy excitement guaranteed in this wonderful valley.
Just over 3 miles from the M1. A delightful and well-run park, with on-lead dogs welcome in the formal gardens and rougher ground for off-lead romping.
Recommended by Carole and Jack who say 'A friend organises an annual dog walkers' Christmas brunch here and on our lunchtime visit, wet and bedraggled, we all received a warm welcome.
A short but satisfying woodland walk in a fantastic landscape to the site of a hill fort. Don't expect castle ruins, it's an earthworks from an early tribe.
This is a small but beautiful riverside park and has the remains of a Norman motte and bailey castle, although there's not much left to see. Plenty of dog walks here and it's an ideal place to relax.
Popular beach for surfers, and for the site of Dobby's grave (no longer there), and it's dog-friendly. Gets very crowded at weekends and Bank Holidays, and whenever the surf is up.
This 'aire de repose' on the westbound side of the A31 is one of the best rest-stops for dogs and people, on a section of motorway that is otherwise pretty unenticing.
