Good dog walk within easy reach of the A19. It's well worth bringing a snack and spending some quality time with the dog - but pick a sunny day.
Calling all Sherlock Holmes fans with dogs. The Adventures of the Dancing Men was written here, and Conan Doyle was a regular visitor. They even have a blue plaque on the pub wall.

When the tide's out this is a fun beach for dogs, with lots of scamper space and doggie swimming. The beach is divided into dog and no-dog zones, and the doggie zone is bigger.

Extraordinary village with purpose built holiday homes completed just before 1914. Today it looks like a film set and is a joy to wander around and channel some early 20th century elegance.
Tourist village with a large sandy and dog-friendly beach, and inland dog walk too. Restrictions for dogs apply in Summer on the north section of the beach, the rest is fine.
Easy to reach from the A40, this is such a good place to stop.
