Coldfall Wood local dog walk, Greater London
A tiny slice of ancient woodland, a bit squeezed between Muswell Hill playing fields and St Pancras cemetery - but well worth a visit.

A large country park close to Winchester, with a good mix of forest land and downs.
Dogs welcome all year round.
Pub, restaurant & hotel. Dogs very welcome and a good real pint and food. Last visited July 2015, and by the DwD team in 2021, still as dog friendly as ever and another nice lunch.
A lovely secluded cove, where smugglers used to bring their contraband ashore by night. The village is very quaint - thatched cottages and postcard-ideal scenes galore.
Dog-friendly beach with a view across to Wales. Loads going on here, with the extraordinary natural lagoon used for water sports etc when the tide's out.
Canal towpath to Maryhill Locks return via River Kelvin Walkway to Kelvin Bridge, Great Western Road, Glasgow
Friendly, canal side pub. Excellent food, all beef is sourced from local farm. You'll go a long way to find better burgers.
A really enjoyable riverside dog walk in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
A small country park close to the town centre. Plenty of open spaces as well as woodland areas to investigate. Has the Oxford Canal and a river running through it.
One of the glories of this dog walk on the Trans-Penine Trail is that there are no hills, or even slopes, and the path stays firm and shoe-friendly in wet weather.
Main beach out of bounds during the summer but at the end near the sand dunes it is very dog friendly all year round
