The end of the Highland Way... Long distance walk. And you'll need refreshment.
Small seaside village with easy access to the beach and childrens playground. Good for dogs who like to swim. Dogs are welcome to stay with you at the hotel at no extra charge.
This is a really interesting place for a break from the A1. The cafe is a thriving community hub and very welcoming.
A little gem of a dog-friendly restaurant with an enthusiastic local reputation for seafood. The dog walk is through woodland and beside the river.
If you're looking for a dog-friendly driving break with a difference, check out this extremely friendly brewery with its own cafe.
A very pretty woodland dog walk on the scenic route between Glencoe and the A82 Oban to Fort William. It's hard to believe that this little village was once a centre for aluminium production.
A lovely small cafe where dogs are welcome and the coffee is good. It's a pretty courtyard to sit in the sun and bask in the warmth. It's well placed for a break on the route from Edinburgh to Skye.
An informal river path on the banks of the River Tweed. Lots of dog swimming opportunities and a lovely place to visit.
Lovely pub with proper home cooked food. Very dog friendly. Excellent play area outside for the kids.
A super-easy stop with the dog off the A75 with clean public toilets, a dog walk with swimming, and tourist info all direct from the free car car park.
The road stops here and everyone comes to walk by the loch, or to have a go at walking to the top of Scotland's most southerly and relatively easy Munro (hill).
