The walk here is perfectly placed to give everyone (and the dog) a leg-stretch on a purpose made leisure path.
Beaches where dogs are allowed France ...
Unpretentious little town on the river L'Indre, with pedestrianised narrow streets and a choice of small dog-friendly restaurants and brasseries for a meal or snack.
A medieval village, well off the tourist track. You'll find a couple of patisseries and boulangerie, and plenty of medieval period property for sale if you feel like moving!
Part of the enormous Rambouillet forest, this is a fantastic place to walk and re-charge your batteries under the canopy of trees. Perfect for dogs, and great for a family day out from Paris.
This is one of our favourite stops - with a fabulous forest off-lead walk for the dog, and then just a few miles down the road there's a village with an excellent restaurant and an old abbey to admire...
Firmly planted in the fertile plain of the Garonne river, the town is famous for its marvellous tomatoes. There's even a Tomato Festival here in July each year.
Another dog friendly beach* on the Cote de Nacre. This is one of the Normandy beaches and this is where the Canadians established a bridgehead in World War II.
Dogs welcome on the beach here - and the normal rules apply: on lead, and please pick up! Out of season you're likely to have the beach to yourself and other dog-walkers.
A splendid sandy beach that is really close to St Malo. We found it an ideal place to give the dogs a good run when you arrive from the ferry in the early morning.
By this stage of the A7 you will already have driven through the vineyards of the champagne production region, and their discreetly affluent villages.
