Unpretentious little town on the river L'Indre, with pedestrianised narrow streets and a choice of small dog-friendly restaurants and brasseries for a meal or snack.
Dog walk places in Kilkenny There are two circular walks in Castlemorris Wood, and both start from the car park opposite the Grand Gates
Lakeside walk, with a restaurant serving traditional French lunches. Get there for 1200 and you'll be in for a gastronomic treat. This walk is also handy for the A66 Exit 1.
Firmly planted in the fertile plain of the Garonne river, the town is famous for its marvellous tomatoes. There's even a Tomato Festival here in July each year.
Once part of a grand baronial estate, complete with castle and all the trappings of power, this is now a lovely forest park that's free for all to enjoy.
Fantastically beautiful place, and good for dogs too. Take a picnic and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature around the lake. Mulroy Bay is lovely.
After it's been raining, this is a glorious walk through conifers exuding that fabulous scent of damp pine. And the River Finn is just below you - gurgling away happily.
Gorgeous circular walk in a part of the forest that was a favoured hunting ground of Charles the 10th. And plenty of opportunity for refreshment in Rambouillet afterwards.

We've been here several times because it's so lovely - and each time we've been the only visitors. So don't be put off if you find an empty car park - it's a place that's well worth discovering.
Forest park with marked trails and plenty for families and dogs to do. Even on a rainy day it's nice here.
