A Forestry Commission walk that isn't just serried ranks of pine trees! This one is in an arboretum with over 200 different kinds of trees, and masses of rhodedendron too.
A dog-friendly inn with rooms and a big welcome in what could genuinely be called the middle of nowhere. A brave family provides hospitality here to travellers in all weathers.
This is a super-short dog walk and more for drivers than dogs. The waterfalls are tremendous and well worth a look. The main attraction here are the super-clean alpine style toilets!
A short walk to a beautiful cascade famed for leaping salmon. Plenty of woodland for the dogs to explore as well.
The entrance to this excellent picnic site is really hard to spot, particularly if you're travelling north.
