Dogs love this country park on the outskirts of Buxton. It's a handy place for local dog-walkers, as well as being a safe and easy walking option if you're staying in the area.
Just a couple of miles away from Leek, this is a perfect spot for dogwalking through very pretty woodland.
A charming village, a bit feudal with the Hall on its doorstep. The hotel/pub is dog-friendly and when the Hall gardens are open the walk is a pleasant outing for dogs who enjoy walking on lead.
Still privately owned by the family who built the first castle here, what you see now is a sort of 'ruins through the ages' surrounded by a sea of cow parsley. Perfect for a picnic on a sunny day.
An easy-going walk with the chance of refreshments in an outdoor cafe along the way.
It took us ages to find this wood, mainly because of road closures and repairs.
