M1 Junction 39 country park dog walk and cafe, South Yorkshire Junction 39 This easy-to-find park is a popular local dog walking place, and it's nice to watch the bobbing sails of dinghies on the way around the lake. There's also a cafe, and an adventure playground for kids.
A62 Dalton Bank local dog walk, West Yorkshire Popular dog walking spot between Huddersfield and Dewsbury. A bit of a clamber up to the top, but worth it.
Dog-friendly pub on the heath, near Wakefield, West Yorkshire The dog-friendly pub here is a step back in time to the 1850s with a quirky and really lovely old building. You can almost still hear the shouts of stagecoach drivers and ostlers across the heathland.
M62 Junction 27 dog walk at Oakwell Hall, West Yorkshire Junction 27 A well-planned system of criss-crossing paths make the most of the 110 acres of land in this park, and it's a delightful place to visit with lots of variety and points of interest.
