Wetherby Triangle dog walk, West Yorkshire
Description
The old railway line, now part of the Harland way. The walk is mostly in tree lined railway cuttings and is ideal for a sheltered walk in bad weather or for a shaded walk in summer. Thanks to Archie Lakeland for this walk.
Details
GPS coords for car park: 53.9301, -1.3963 Toilets and food are available in the town. Free parking is available at all town car parks but for direct access to the walk use the Linton road car park.
Walk
Head out of the carpark under the road bridge, follow the old railway line as far as you like but for a short walk take the left branch, then turn right at the junction and right again at the next junction (staying on the railway line) to come back to the carpark again. There is a large playing field used for off lead play in the centre of the triangle, follow any of the paths into the triangle to find it.

Green 50 PointsIdeal shady walk
Found this stop off walk thanks to this website which was also found by pure accident and what a find. This walk is roughly 5-10 mins drive off the motorway. In the past I’ve avoided coming off too far and just gone to service stations but I’m so glad I found this site as there are countless walks in areas that I wouldn’t have found otherwise. The walk itself is lovely and shady along a disused railway track, ideal on the hot day it was. There were other dog walkers there but it wasn’t crowded. Only downsides were that there were no human toilets (!) and there was a some smashed glass by some recycling bins. It was close to Wetherby centre which looked lovely to walk around of your dog is ok with that and plenty of cafes there. A very good find so thank you.

Thankyou for this information, we would never have found this on our own! The car park was free, the path was not muddy and we met another dog walker who was happy to let her puppy play with our puppy - great to tire him out for the onward journey. The track is in a railway cutting, so they are unlikely to run away.

Good find
Great little find. Big car park, lots of other dogs off lead which is handy for us. Also good terrain for a buggy.
