Towneley Park dog walks, Lancashire
Description
Towneley Hall and park are one of Burnley's greatest assets. The Hall, which is open to the public, sits in extensive parkland with woods, riverbanks, a playground and playing fields. The park is dog friendly with plenty of dog bins and space for free running. There are 2 main car parks and the riverbank carpark has a small takeaway cafe with a few outdoor seats, serving hot drinks and snacks at weekends and holidays. There is also a larger cafe near the hall and although dogs are not allowed inside, there is an outside seating area popular with local dog walkers. Towneley Garden Centre is in the park and this is also dog friendly, with even an indoor seating area where well behaved dogs are welcome.
