Walk
Nice big North Wales beach with off lead dog walking and nearby cafes and a chip shop. Sand dunes are off limits due to wildlife but a good area of beach is fully dog friendly all year round. Apparently there are some dog free areas which are signed, but we didn't come across any.

Tide was out - I mean really out! There are warning signs that the car park floods at hide tide so its worth checking out before you go.
There is raised walk for wheelchairs to the left of the car park but no wheelchair access to the beach itself.
Plenty of sand for everyone. Lots of dogs and kids. My dog decided that seagulls wanted to be chased and found himself in some thick black 'sludge'. Not quite quick sand but not nice either. Other than that, this is an excellent dog and children beach.
Lola & Suggs Cafe (CH8 9RD) has outside tables where dogs are welcome. They even provide dog water and biscuits for well behaved dogs. No customer WC, so don't ask.

Green 36 PointsSand dunes now have purpose path through to keep people off the dunes themselves. Easy access for wheel chair users also on this path.
Plenty of DogPoo bins so please use them as this area is used for the holiday park too.
Out of season it is a great place to go but during summer I would refrain from weekend use as there are a lot of kids around.

Vast beach with plenty of quality running space for ball chucking!
So many people have recommended Talacre Beach to me over the last couple of years as perfect for dogs, and having now finally been myself, I would happily recommend it to anybody. It is easily one of the best dog-friendly beaches I've been to as for starters there are no limitations on use by dogs in the summer.
Talacre is a vast open beach and even at it's busiest you'll still feel like you have the place to yourself for much of the time. If you have a dog that loves to run, you'll easily have plenty of space for ball-chuckers without impinging on other beach users. The sand is lovely to walk on with bare feet and is clean and litter free. Water is still cold though, ;)
There are plenty of amenities conducive to a great day out on the approach road to the beach including a great pub: 'The Point' which allow dogs inside and a cafe which sells the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm ice-cream. Yummy...
If only it was a bit closer than an hour and 20 minutes away, I'd be there all the time!
