St Annes dog-friendly beach, Lancashire
Description
My favourite beach for playing when visiting Blackpool. Sand dunes and lots of running space. You don't need to check tide times as the beach entrance never seems to get closer than around 0.5 mile away from the sea and goes for miles around the coast. The sand dunes become wider and more fun the further you go from the pier (heading towards Blackpool).

GPS coords for car park: 53.7507, -3.0361 The main facilities are all around the pier, including children's fun and mini nature reserve walk. The area of beach closest to the pier doesn't allow dogs from 1 May - 30 Sept, however just avoiding this part you still have miles of sand to play on. There are car parks (pay and display) and on road parking further down the coastal road.

Quiet beach with plenty to interest most dogs. Soft sand close to the prom but firmer sand a few feet away.
Can walk for miles before getting close to the sea
