Riverside dog walk, Cornwall
Description
A walk on a fairly level path along the riverside from Tresillian to St Clement and back
Details
We tend to park on the road leading up to Pencalenick school as it is quieter than the parking places on the main road in Tresillian. Approaching from Truro before you reach Tresillian you pass Polsue Manor Farm on the left and the next right, as the road bends to the left, is signposted to Pencalenick. From the St Austell direction drive right through Tresllian and you will see the river on your left, take the last turning to the left signposted to Pencalenick. Over the small bridge and take the first left; there is space for a few cars on the left. GPS 50.270378, -5.008406. You could also do the walk by parking in the village of St Clement
Walk
From parking the car walk away from the road and take the track off to the left. From the main road parking area the path runs before you along the edge of the river. The walk follows the bank of the tidal Tresillian River and there is at least one place to throw sticks into the river. If the tide is out there is a lake on the right hand side which Buster loves. The walk is pretty level but can get muddy in wet weather. It takes around 25-30 miutes to reach St Clement.
