Normans Bay beach and dog walk, East Sussex
Description
One of the last unspoilt beaches on this stretch of the South East coastline, ideal if you'd like a quiet walk. Gentle sloping shingle at high tide and lovely sand at low tide. Great fun for the dogs.
If you're not a driver but use public transport this beach is a welcome relief as it has two train stops in close vicinity. The beach is close to a Camper & Caravan Park so ideal if your stopping over in the area.
The only negative is the smell at certain times of year from rotting vegetation from the near by fields but you soon get used to it. This venue is certain more than worth the visit especially if you have elderly or dogs that require gentler exercise for recouperation purposes. Although it does have links as a nudist beach it is rarely used.
Details
Train stops at either end of the beach, Normans Bay & Cooden. Food from local village. Nudist beach. Petrol Station on the roundabout.
Walk
Once parked, follow the coastline.

Not worth it.
Not for me. Too many signs saying “private” and “dogs on leads”, very limited parking. If you are in the area, I’d suggest a short distance up the coast to Pevensey Bay.
