Walk
From Ffordd Cae Newydd look for the Memorial Slate on your right hand side of the lane. Turn here and approx 100yds on the right is the entrance to the walks, forest track and parking area. Please remember to close the gate!
There is a very easy to follow 3 mile circular route with no stiles or serious hills.
There's a surprising number of things to look out for; a Bronze Age burial cairn, a small lake that's not where you'd expect to find it, and old quarry workings too.
This is a worked Forestry Commission area, so the path may occasionally be closed.

Lovely forest walk
We are regular visitors to the Llandegla area and were keen to find a safe location to walk our two Young Lagotto dogs before arriving. The Nercwys Forest Walk is excellent - there are hard paths which are excellent, a small car park at both the North and South of the forest along with poop bins at the car parks. Signage could be a little better, but other than very very good. We visited on a Friday so the forest was quiet but bikes and horses are permitted so might be worth being aware at weekends.
